Tell your frinds about the Pool, the bigger the pool the bigger the payout.
.(NEW) This year there is no deadline for entering picks, the pool will remain open till
the last game on Sunday afternoon. I will still ask for your picks before the Thursday game. If you do not submit before the Thursday game starts you will record a loss for that game.
This is true for the rest of the weeks games. If you dont put your picks in you will get a loss for each game missed.
No need for random picks this year since you can make and change your picks up to the time the game is played (except for any games after the last Sunday afternoon game) I will only post all picks for games that are either played or being played.
If anyone as any questions, let me know.
Updates from last year
(NEW)This year you will not get a confirmation e-mail for your picks. Last year some got them and some did not.
We found that the problem was with scurity for some email host.
We are still using Pass Words, this adds a tab to the pick sheet that shows your lastest pick,
so you can always check your picks. This way you will always know that your picks are good before the first game is played
How the Play the Pools
- Weekly Pool: To enter, check the "Weekly" and "Season" block on the Signup Sheet.Once signed up,
select the picksheet' pick a team to win for each game. Estimate and enter the total points scored in the
Monday Night Football game, used as a tie breaker. The winner for each
week will be the player with the most correct picks. In the event of a
tie, the first tie breaker is closest to the actual point total of the tie
breaker game. The second tie breaker is the best season total and the third is
the Monday night season closest to the actual points and if needed the Monday night games won
- Should two players tie for
first place, the 1st and 2nd place are
combined and split between them.
- Should two or more players tie
for second place, 2nd the payout is split equally
- Note: For the weekly Pool,
season totals are the second tie breaker, third is
the Monday night season closest to the actual points and if needed the Monday night games won.
-
- Season Pool Winner:
Determined by entry with the most wins picked throughout the 18 week
regular season. Tie breakers and payout scheme is the same as the weekly
pool(except the season pays 1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
- The Survivor Pool:
The premise of the pool is simple: A pool member picks one team each week
to win. If they win, they move on to the next week. If you lose three
times you are out. Once a member picks a team, they cannot pick that team
again. The pool continues until only one member is left. If you pick the
same team twice, it counts as a loss. If you don't make the pick it counts
as a loss. No random picks for the survivor pool. Remember you
cannot win or loose until after the weeks games are played. If
necessary this pool goes thru the playoffs. So it is wise not to pick
teams that you think will make the playoffs until later in the
season. Winner takes all, in the event of a tie the pot is split
-
- Margin Pool:
This pool is similar to a Survivor Pool in some ways. With the Margin
Pool, you only have to pick one team each week. Once a pool member picks a
team, he/she cannot pick that team again. If their team wins, the winning
margin, or margin of victory is added to their season point total. If
their team loses, then the winning margin is subtracted from their season
point total. The pool member that has the most points at the end of the
season is the winner. Total wins are used as a tiebreaker.
- A Margin Pool is different
from a Survivor Pool in that in a Margin Pool, you play the entire regular season
season, you are not eliminated with a loss. I believe a Margin Pool to be
just as much fun, if not more so, than the Survivor Pool. It pool you are never
really out of it until the end. You could be in first place, and wham, your
team looses by 28 points, and another player's team wins by 35 points.
- If you enter the same team
twice you will be given the maximum negative points scored by any player
during that week
- Remember , we have three
winners and the tie pay out scheme is the same as the Season pool.
Rule 1:
The intry Time and date for your pick selections are listed below. Picks submitted after a game is started
are marked as a loss. The pool will remain open untill the Kickoff of the last game.
YOU MAY CHANGE YOUR PICKS for any game not played until the last Sunday afternoon game
NO EXCEPTIONS!! I will close the pool and post the allpicks report right after the the first weekend game
